this image was originally inspired by a piece of art by Craig Thompson that I later found out was a piece of his autobiography called "Blankets" which I fell in love with as you can tell by my avatar Craig's image was inspired by several other depictions of Jesus and the following statements are based on my first impressions of the one page without the context of the book.

This piece was on display at the Mount Saint Vincent Art Gallery.

Yes, it's a painting of Jesus.

Why you ask?

I was reflecting on Luke, and when Jesus said "the kingdom of God is neither here, nor there, for the kingdom of God is within"
and I thought, wow. People should figure that out.

I did this in the style of a child, because I want to provoke the thought of a "child-like faith" something Jesus really teaches a lot, and something as a Roman Catholic i've been taught. As adults we over analise, we make things harder then they have to be. Especially religion. Especially catholism.

Well here's the deal. Here's what it all comes down to for those who get waaay caught up in the 'rules' and 'organization', from the mouth of Jesus himself:
Love God. let God love you. Love eachother.

That's it.

That's the big message.

Kinda pretty don't you think?
