A little collage that takes a look at my back issues and tries to turn it into art
that line you see on my back I have all the time. In order to not have it in photos I have to change my balance around, stretch, and elongate that side of my body. It's pretty much the only visible sign of scoliosis. Everything else only shows up on a x-ray. Still, it's representative of how everything is connected. That twist in my spine hikes one hip up higher than the other, and points it in the wrong direction. That pulls to muscles of my lower back and my pelvic muscles very tight to one side. Combine that with my IC and you have a recipe for a lot of pain! Working very hard to re-train my muscles and am hopeful that with the addition of a chiropractor that my scoliosis will be functioning and we'll be able to (in time) re-shape my body. Our bodies are such an intricate machine!
If you're going to give critique keep in mind the subject matter and that this was a self portrait, thanks.
